Whether you want to use Elie as the base from which to launch your golfing tour of Fife, or simply to include it as one of the courses on your schedule, it has something special to offer every member of your party.
The golfers will be drawn to the superb 18 hole links course, while there is also an adjacent 9 hole course and driving range to help hone your skills. These are run by the Elie Sports Club, which also manages the 18 hole putting green, the 6 tennis courts and the bowling green, which are all on site.
Located only an hour from Edinburgh and 20 minutes from St Andrews, visiting golfers are spoilt for choice and there is an array of fabulous courses, all within easy striking distance of Elie, for you to play.
Away from the golf club, there are some of the finest beaches in Fife to enjoy and the busy harbour is home to a water sports centre offering everything from water skiing and windsurfing to sailing and canoeing.
Once you’ve finished your sporting activities for the day, there is then the local hospitality to enjoy and in both Elie and the villages that lie along the neighbouring coastline, there is no shortage of wonderful pubs, coffee shops and restaurants to explore.

Fife is synonymous with golf and the famous Old Course at St Andrews is the first name that springs to most people’s minds. However there are many other wonderful links courses in Fife to enjoy. These include the New Course and the Jubilee Course, which lie adjacent to the Old Course and although less well known they are both easily its equal in the golfing challenge they provide.
There is then Kingsbarns Golf Links, only seven miles southeast of St Andrews, which has established itself as one of the finest courses in the world since it was opened in 2000. After that; well the list goes on and on…
North of Fife lies Angus and the championship course at Carnoustie is the best known in this region. However there are many other fine links to explore and another championship course that should certainly be considered is the fabulous Panmure Golf Club.
East Lothian lies south of Fife and on the other side of the Firth of Forth. Again the visiting golfer is spoilt for choice, and of the many great courses to play, Gullane No.1, Luffness New Golf Club and North Berwick Golf Club all offer the highest standard of traditional links golf and a warm welcome at their friendly clubhouses.
